Dayon Logo

Description
The Dayon logo was designed for a miniature spring company. Right off the bat I had to make the logo lower case. I felt like the lowercase lettering was very fitting for a company that works with small springs.
The Brand Identity
The brand identity is all about miniature and small. So I chose blue and grey for the logo colors. One of the main reasons I chose them was because they're easy to see on a white background. This blue felt like a good color to convey lightness. While the grey refers back to springs. You may notice that I made the syllables two different colors. I used the colors in a way to pronounce the company name.
The "d"
Lastly I do want to point out the "d" in Dayon is the icon of the logo. The "d" was made in mind of a caliper. Calipers are precision tools that are used to measure parts of the spring. So you see the "d" is not fully closed off because it's measuring something small.
Final Thoughts
The Dayon logo was fun to work on. It involved a lot of critical thinking, but it paid off at the end. My take away from this project was to know as much as the brand as possible. The more information you know, the better ideas that feel right start flowing in.
